Performance du marché mondial de la vente directe et aperçu régional
Pendant la pandémie, les ventes de détail mondiales de l’industrie de la vente directe ont augmenté de 2,2 % en 2020 et de 2,0 % en 2021. Par la suite, elles ont reculé de 170 023 millions de dollars à 163 863 millions de dollars en 2024. Cela représente une baisse totale de 3,6 %, soit environ 1,2 % par an.
La région Asie-Pacifique détient 40,3 % des ventes mondiales, avec 66 058 millions de dollars en 2024, restant stable depuis 2023 et enregistrant une légère baisse annuelle de 0,3 % depuis 2021. Elle compte également 8 des 21 marchés mondiaux dépassant le milliard de dollars.
Avec une part de 21,6 % des ventes mondiales, l’Europe a généré 35 352 millions de dollars de revenus en 2024. Entre 2021 et 2024, la région a enregistré une croissance à un TCAC de 0,2 %, sans être fortement affectée par la légère baisse de 1,5 % observée cette année-là. En 2024, les 28 marchés européens réalisant chacun moins d’un milliard de dollars ont atteint ensemble 5 052 millions de dollars, soit 14,3 % des ventes régionales.
Après avoir contribué à hauteur de 37,3 % des ventes mondiales, les Amériques se sont positionnées comme la deuxième plus grande région en vente directe. Cela représente un chiffre d’affaires de 61 189 millions de dollars, avec un taux de croissance de 0,8 %. Toutefois, la région a également enregistré un recul annuel de 2,8 % entre 2021 et 2024.
Les autres marchés africains ont dominé leur région en 2024 avec 640,3 millions de dollars de ventes, soit 50,6 % du total régional. Bien que les ventes aient diminué de 0,4 % en 2024, le marché a tout de même progressé à un TCAC de 0,7 % entre 2021 et 2024.
Conformément à la tendance des ventes mondiales, le nombre de représentants indépendants est resté quasiment inchangé à 104,3 millions en 2024 (en hausse de seulement 0,1 %). Cela représente néanmoins 4,2 % de moins que les 109 millions enregistrés en 2019, avant la pandémie.
En 2024, le nombre de représentants a augmenté de 3,4 % en Asie-Pacifique et de 1,1 % en Europe, mais a diminué de 5,9 % dans les Amériques et de 11,8 % en Afrique/Moyen-Orient. Entre 2021 et 2024, seule l’Asie-Pacifique a enregistré une croissance, avec un TCAC de 1,3 %, tandis que l’Europe, les Amériques et l’Afrique/Moyen-Orient ont reculé à des taux annuels de 6,5 %, 7,8 % et 13,1 %, respectivement.
